Change Workflow for a Task (Backlog Only)
Open the task inside an Epic or Task Group
Ensure the task is in Backlog
Select and apply the required workflow
Important:
Once the task moves out of Backlog, the workflow becomes locked.
Change Workflow for an Entire Epic or Task Group
Open the Epic or Task Group
Remove all tasks from it
Update the workflow
Result:
The new workflow is applied to the group.
Understand Workflow Behavior
When using default workflow:
Each task can have a different workflow (only in Backlog)
When using custom workflow:
All tasks must follow the same workflow
Individual task workflows cannot be different
Key Rules
Workflow changes are allowed only in Backlog stage
Workflow becomes locked after progress
Group workflow can only be changed when there are no tasks
