Step-by-Step: Creating and Structuring a Program
1. Access the Programs Dashboard
From the MindStaq side menu, click Scorecard.
The Programs page displays all existing programs and lets you manage or start new ones.
2. Create a New Program
Look for the top menu: Program (default), Insights, and a ‘+’ (plus) button.
Click the ‘+’ button to create a new program.
In the pop-up, enter your Program Title and click Create Empty Program.
3. Define Your Program Structure
After creation, your program page shows three columns:
Objective
Key Results
Projects
Add an Objective
In the Objective column, click New Objective.
Fill out the pop-up with:
Objective Title (clear and descriptive)
Targeted Date (completion target)
Description (optional, for context)
Add Proposed Tactics using the Add Tactic button:
Enter a tactic title.
Set its status: Not Started, Started, Completed.
Click Save. Repeat for multiple tactics/objectives as needed.
Add Key Results
Once an Objective appears, click its card.
In the Key Results column, click New Key Result.
Fill in:
Title (of the key result)
Delivery Owner (select the responsible team member)
Start Date/Due Date (schedule)
Priority (None, Low, Medium, High)
Review Status (None, Proposed, Approved, Deferred)
Description (for context)
Click Save.
Link Projects to Key Results
Locate the Key Result to link.
Click the Pencil Icon on the Key Result to edit it.
In the edit panel, select the Project button.
Search and select the desired project, then click Save to confirm.
Linking ensures every project is traceable to your strategic objectives, improving focus, KPIs tracking, and visibility.
Program Settings: Managing Your Program
To access or update a program’s key settings:
Open your desired program in Scorecard.
Click the gear icon (settings) in the top right.
You can customize:
Title: The program’s official name (e.g., "Cloud Migration Initiative").
Program Manager: The individual overseeing execution (select from the dropdown).
Executive Sponsor: The executive guiding and supporting the program.
Start/End Dates: Set via calendar pickers (defines the program’s timeline).
Description: Add a detailed summary, including scope and expectations—use formatting to make this clear for all stakeholders.
Available Actions:
Save: Apply your settings.
Cancel: Discard changes.
Delete: Permanently remove the program and its content.

Regularly review objectives and key results to ensure alignment as organizational goals shift.
Link projects to measurable key results for actionable reporting and accountability.
Use tactics for capturing high-level approaches related to each objective.
Keep your program’s description and roles updated for transparency as team members change.
