How to Use the Time Tracker

The Time Tracker in your Today's Dashboard is a powerful tool for managing and analyzing your work hours, ensuring accurate tracking for reporting, billing, or personal productivity assessments.

Starting and Stopping the Time Tracker

  1. Locate the Timer:
    On the Dashboard, find the timer icon on each task entry.

  2. Start Tracking:
    Click the start timer icon next to a task as you begin work. The color-coded donut chart will update in real time to reflect activity.

  3. Stop Tracking:
    Once finished (minimum 1 minute), click the stop timer icon.

    Note: Sessions under one minute will not be recorded.

  4. View Breakdown:
    The Time Tracker widget displays:

    • Total tracked time for the day

    • Time spent on each activity (e.g., Meetings, QA/Testing)

    • A donut chart for visual analysis

    • Recent time logs

Tips for Effective Time Tracking

  • Allow each session to run at least 60 seconds for it to record.

  • Use time logs to review and optimize how you allocate work during the day.

  • Leverage the visual chart to identify and fix productivity bottlenecks.
