Step 3: Add a TXT Record in Your Domain’s DNS
What is a DNS TXT Record?
A DNS TXT record is a type of setting you add in your domain’s backend system (provided by your domain host, such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, etc.). This record helps us verify that you own the domain.
Here’s how to add the TXT record:
Log in to your domain provider (where you purchased your domain, such as GoDaddy, Google Domains, etc.).
Go to DNS Management:
Find the section for managing DNS records for your domain (example.com
).Add a New TXT Record:
Type: TXT
Name/Host/Alias:
_mindstaq-domain-challenge
(Note: Some providers may require you to enter the root symbol
@
if there’s no subdomain, but usually the exact text is required as given.)
Value/Content: Paste the unique key provided on your screen
(e.g.,
e7866590e55ae71d72af4ec8a93a99c33eed7011065a56085b
).
Save DNS Changes.
Wait for a Few Minutes:
DNS changes may take a few minutes (up to 24-48 hours in rare cases) to propagate worldwide.
Step 4: Verify the Domain
Return to the MindStaq domain verification screen.
Click the ‘Verify’ button.
If everything is set up correctly, your domain will now be successfully connected!
