Turn an answer into a note, document, task, issue, or project plan

Save an answer as a note or ask the assistant to create documents, tasks, issues, and project plans from it.

Move from a good answer to tracked work without retyping it.

What you need

  • A chat with an answer you want to act on.
  • For tasks, issues, and documents in a project: a chat started inside that project, and permission to create them there.

Steps

Save as a note

  1. Under the assistant's reply, choose Save as Note.
  2. Set Note title, optionally choose a project or staq under Save to (optional), and choose Save as Note.

Ask for tasks, issues, documents, or a plan

  1. Start or open the chat inside the project. See Add project, task, issue, note, or file context.
  2. Ask in plain words: "Create task groups and tasks for this plan", "Log an issue for the vendor delay", or "Write a project document from this". The assistant can create task groups, tasks, issues, notes, documents, and presentations in the project.
  3. In any chat you can ask it to create a new project or a personal note.
  4. Open the result from the card that appears: notes show Read, documents show Read, and presentations show Present.

Expected result

The item exists in your workspace. Notes show "Note created" on a card and appear in your notes; project items show up in the project.

Tips

  • Name the project and the owner you want. Review what was created before sharing it.
  • Ask for a Word export for files that leave MindStaq. See Export structured output to Word.

Troubleshooting

  • The assistant only describes the work. Say "create" explicitly, and confirm the chat is inside the project.
  • Nothing was created. You may lack permission in that project. See Project roles.
